BioTech Annecto Montreal is pleased to invite you to a presentation by our special guest Marie-Eve Carrier, Director of Quality and Regulatory Consulting for the company PipeDreemz Inc. , entitled:
The cannabis industry and its possibilities
The Cannabis industry has been rapidly developing since 2013, emerging from governmental organizations to a specialized industry between the pharma sector, horticulture and plant science, governed by privately managed companies. Since the cannabis legalization on October 17, 2018, the cannabis industry has gained more and more attention. Highly regulated by Health Canada, cannabis companies can now produce cannabis seeds, cannabis plants, fresh and dried cannabis and cannabis oil. From October 17 of this year, Health Canada will authorize three new classes of cannabis products which are edible, concentrated extracts and topicals.
Let’s review together the progress of the cannabis industry in Canada and in Quebec, the possibilities of cannabis, and cannabis products that cannabis license holders could produce after October 17 and imagine what we could see in SQDC stores or order online. The cannabis industry offers a lot of opportunities.
As a professor at Cégep Gérald-Godin, Marie-Eve Carrier shares her knowledge of the cannabis industry to foster the development of the cannabis industry in Quebec. Ms. Carrier has been involved in the cannabis industry since 2014. She has made a significant contribution to obtaining the standard cultivation license of a licensed cannabis producer in Quebec in 2017. She currently holds the position of Director of Quality and Regulatory Consulting for the company PipeDreemz Inc., one of the most experienced companies in regulatory licensing of cannabis in Canada (resulting in 45 licenses awarded to date). Ms. Carrier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Laval University and a Master’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from Université de Sherbrooke.
